At Cenote Dive Tour, we use personal information only when it is needed to answer your questions, organize your diving experience, manage your reservation, and operate and improve our website.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

01Who we are
Cenote Dive Tour ("CDT") provides diving experiences and related coordination services from Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Contact details are at the end of this policy.
02Information we collect
When you send a Dive Request through this website, we ask for:
- Name, email address and phone / WhatsApp number
- Preferred contact method
- Preferred and alternative dates, and number of divers
- Diving certification, approximate logged dives and when you last dived
- Previous cenote or cavern experience and Nitrox certification
- Diving interests and any specific cenotes you would like to dive
- Equipment needs and interest in photography
- Any additional information you choose to share
The website form does not ask for medical information. We may also receive information you send us directly by email or WhatsApp.
03How information is collected
We receive information when you submit a Dive Request, email us, message us on WhatsApp, communicate with us about a reservation, or coordinate a payment.
When you visit the website, our hosting provider processes standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, needed to deliver the pages to you. Website fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
04Why we use information
We use personal information only for legitimate operational purposes:
- Responding to your questions
- Evaluating which diving experience is appropriate for you
- Planning and personalizing your dive day
- Coordinating dates, availability, transportation, equipment and logistics
- Coordinating photography when requested
- Managing reservations and payments, and communicating booking changes
- Customer support and necessary booking and transaction records
- Operating the website and protecting the safety of CDT activities
05No sale of personal data
Cenote Dive Tour does not sell personal information to advertisers, and does not provide customer information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
06Service providers and concierge coordination
Delivering your reservation may require sharing limited information with independent providers, such as dive guides, boat operators, transportation providers, photographers, payment providers or other providers needed for the booked service. These providers are not necessarily CDT employees.
We share only what is reasonably necessary. For example, a transportation provider may need your name, pickup location and schedule, and a photographer may need contact and booking details to coordinate the service.
07Payments
We accept credit and debit cards, PayPal, Mercado Pago, bank transfer and cash. This website does not process payments or collect card details. When you pay through a payment provider, your payment information is handled by that provider under its own privacy practices; CDT does not store complete card numbers.
08WhatsApp
The website includes links to contact us on WhatsApp (+52 984 745 0528). When you choose to message us there, the conversation uses WhatsApp's platform and is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy practices, which CDT does not control.
09Analytics and cookies
This website does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies. If we add analytics tools, we will update this policy to explain what they collect and the choices available to you.
10Medical and diving safety information
Before diving, you may be asked to complete liability releases, a diving medical questionnaire or declaration and other safety documentation. That information is used only for participation, safety, operational or legal purposes. It is never displayed publicly or used for advertising.
11Data retention
CDT retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including reservation management, customer service, operational records, legal obligations and legitimate business recordkeeping. When it is no longer reasonably necessary, it is deleted or securely disposed of where appropriate.
12Data security
CDT takes reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or disclosure. No internet transmission or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.
13Your ARCO rights
You can contact us about your personal information, including requests for:
- Access: to know what personal information we hold about you
- Rectification: to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Cancellation: to ask us to delete information we no longer need
- Opposition: to object to a particular use of your information
Send your request to info@cenotedivetour.com. Some information may need to be kept for legal, transactional or operational reasons, so deletion is not always possible immediately; if that applies, we will explain why.
14International visitors
Depending on where you reside, additional privacy rights may apply under the laws applicable to you and to the processing of your information. You are welcome to contact us with any privacy-related request.
15Minors
Some activities accept participants from age 15 when activity-specific requirements are met. Where personal information about a minor is needed for a reservation, the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian should be obtained. We do not intentionally collect unnecessary information from minors.
16Photography
Photographs on this website are used under CDT's own permissions and agreements; copyright remains with the applicable rights holder unless otherwise agreed. Taking part in a dive does not, by itself, mean consent to publishing identifiable photos of you for marketing.
17Third-party links
This website links to external sites such as Instagram, WhatsApp and TDI/SDI. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.
18Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or website change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
