Cenote diving for Open Water divers

The Riviera Maya offers some of the most accessible cavern dives in the world. These cenotes allow certified Open Water divers to safely experience the magic of Mexico’s underground rivers while staying within recreational limits and always within sight of natural light. Expect crystal-clear water, dramatic stalactites and stunning light effects filtering through the jungle above.

Although an Advanced Open Water certification is not required, cenote diving demands excellent buoyancy control and solid diving skills, usually developed through experience.

Detailed requirements and dive conditions are explained inside each cenote tour page.
