Upon arrival at Yaakún, we begin with a technical briefing detailing site conditions, safety measures, and dive objectives. Full gear is provided, and final adjustments are made before entering the water.
3. First Dive: Cenote Yaakún
Maximum depth: 32 meters (105 feet)
Cenote Yaakún offers a deep dive, perfect for Advanced-certified divers. At 24 meters (79 ft), you pass through a perfectly defined halocline, creating a hypnotic visual effect like moving underwater dunes. This phenomenon, caused by the mixing of saltwater and freshwater, surrounds the diver in a surreal atmosphere ideal for video and underwater photography.

4. Break and Refreshment
After the dive at Yaakún, we enjoy a revitalizing break with snacks, fresh fruit, and purified water. It’s the perfect time to share first-dive impressions and prepare for the next adventure.
5. Second Dive: Cenote Kukulkán
Maximum depth: 14 meters (46 feet)
Cenote Kukulkán—named after the Mayan feathered serpent god—is a mystical space steeped in history and impressive natural formations. This dive is suitable for Open Water–certified divers and up, with the option to tailor the tour to the visitor’s experience level. Kukulkán combines partially lit cavern passages with shafts of sunlight filtering through roots and stalactites, creating a visually stunning environment.
It’s also the ideal site to practice buoyancy, cavern navigation, and capture incredible images of light interacting with rock in a tranquil, crystal-clear setting.
6. Return
After both dives, we head back to your accommodation, satisfied with having explored two of the Riviera Maya’s most impressive cenotes. A full day of underwater contrasts, Mayan history, and natural beauty you’ll hardly forget.
