WHAT IS A CENOTE?
By the way, what is a Cenote?
Cenotes are geological formations that we consider magical in a “romantic” way, but on a technical level these formations have been built over thousands of years by the dissolution of limestone rocks through filtrations or flows of water and sediment, creating subway caves and caverns flooded with fresh water, which in Mexico we know as cenotes.
These natural sanctuaries, considered sacred by the Mayan civilization and according to this cosmogony, cenotes are windows to the underworld and are directly linked to a special energy that has attracted travelers, explorers and seekers of unique experiences through the cultural, geological and biological knowledge they offer us to discover our past, enjoy our present, and preserve them for a better future.
