Nicte Ha & Dos Ojos Diving Tour – Underground Cavern Adventure
This tour is designed for Open Water divers, as we don’t exceed 9 m / 30 ft. Enjoy two very different dives in one day, departing directly from Playa del Carmen. If you’re after nicte ha cenote diving in the Riviera Maya, this itinerary blends natural calm, beautiful caverns, exceptional visibility, and professional guiding.
First dive: Cenote Nicte Ha – “Flower of Water” & natural beauty
Nicte Ha is all about striking contrasts: shadowy caverns with rock formations and a beautiful lily garden that draws your eye toward the surrounding light. Lush vegetation and surface life create a hypnotic blend of water and flowers—true to its Mayan name, “Flower of Water.”
Second dive: Cenote Dos Ojos – Stalactites, haloclines & underground magic
Next, we dive Dos Ojos—one of the world’s most famous underwater systems. You can choose the Barbie Line or the Bat Cave: both feature stalactites, haloclines, stone columns, and engaging passages that make the dive unforgettable.

Itinerary
Start of the tour: pickup & transfer
We start at 8:00 a.m. with on-time pickup at your hotel or meeting point in Playa del Carmen or Tulum. From there we drive through the jungle to the first cenote of the day—Nicte Ha, a unique visual and natural oasis.
Briefing & safety prep
On arrival, your guide walks you through the area—entrances, access routes, facilities, and services—then covers the technical side with a clear cavern-diving safety briefing so you feel confident and ready.
First dive: Cenote Nicte Ha
Maximum depth: 6 meters (20 ft)
We’ll dive shallow cavern passages with water lilies, hanging roots, and sculpted corridors. Visibility is exceptional and the natural light creates a magical atmosphere—perfect for relaxing and connecting with nature during nicte ha cenote diving.
Jungle break & refreshments
After the dive, we pause in a natural jungle setting. Enjoy purified water, fresh fruit, snacks, and a light sandwich to recharge before the next dive.
Second Dive: Cenote Dos Ojos
After the break, we move to iconic Dos Ojos, part of one of the largest cave systems on the planet. Choose your route:
- Barbie Line: wide passages with stalactites, stone columns, and deep-blue light filling majestic caverns.
- Bat Cave: a tighter, more enveloping and technical circuit—ideal if you want an intense, mysterious dive under low ceilings and shadows.
Both routes are for certified divers and round out your nicte ha cenote diving day with a safe, guided, and memorable experience.
